About Me

My name is Sarah Lipphardt.  I grew up in Rochester Hills, MI.  I attended Hope College where I earned my B.A. in Mathematics and Physics with a secondary education certificate.  From there, I moved to Chicago, IL where I taught Physics for two years at Perspectives Leadership Academy.  I then got married and moved to Indianapolis, IN where I have been teaching Physics, Calculus, and Computer Science for the past two years at Indianapolis Lighthouse College Prep.  I also teach a class called advisory- as you may have seen in the pictures on my home page.  Advisory is a class where you help your group of students to set goals, track their goals, and ensure that they are making progress to reach their goals.  It is kind of like a family at school as we come together to help each other be successful.  At the same time as I moved to Indianapolis, I began taking classes to earn my Masters of Arts in Education with a Science and Math emphasis.  I wanted to increase my knowledge of Science and Math education and thought that this was the perfect way to do so.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, playing basketball, and spending time with my family and friends.
